The Announcements page lets you publish news and alerts that appear in the member feed. Announcements can target your entire organization or a single property, and can be set to expire automatically. Navigate to Announcements in the sidebar to get started.

The Announcements List

The list shows all announcements with tabs to filter the view:
TabShows
AllEvery announcement regardless of status or type.
PublishedOnly live announcements currently visible to members.
DraftsSaved but not yet published.
AlertsOnly announcements of type Alert.
Each row displays the type chip, pin indicator, title, scope, status, published date, and expiration date. Use the pencil icon to edit or the trash icon to delete.

Creating an Announcement

Click New Announcement in the top-right corner to open the form.

Fields

FieldDescription
TitleA short headline (required).
BodyThe full announcement content. Supports rich text formatting — bold, italic, lists, links, and inline images (required).
TypeNews for general information; Alert for urgent or time-sensitive notices. Alerts are displayed with a red chip.
ScopeOrg-wide to show to all members, or select a specific property to target only members associated with that property.
PinnedPinned announcements appear at the top of the member feed and are highlighted. Use sparingly for high-priority items.
Expires atOptional. The announcement is automatically hidden from members after this date and time. Useful for time-limited alerts.

Saving and Publishing

The form has two save actions:
  • Save as Draft — saves the announcement without making it visible to members. Use this to prepare content in advance or get it ready for review.
  • Publish — makes the announcement immediately visible to members. The published date is recorded automatically.
You can return to a draft later, edit it, and publish when ready.

Editing an Announcement

Click the pencil icon in any row to reopen the form with the current values. All fields can be changed, including the status — you can unpublish a live announcement by saving it back to draft, or publish a draft at any time.

Deleting an Announcement

Click the trash icon in the row and confirm the deletion. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleting a published announcement removes it from the member feed immediately.

Pinned Announcements

Pinning an announcement keeps it prominent in the member feed. Pinned rows are indicated by a pin icon in the list. There is no limit to the number of pinned announcements, but pinning too many reduces the impact — use pinning for items that require member action or are time-sensitive.

Expiration

Setting an Expires at date is a good practice for alerts that are only relevant for a short window (e.g., road closures, weather warnings, event reminders). Expired announcements are hidden from members automatically but remain in your admin list so you can review or republish them.

News vs. Alert

Both types appear in the same member feed. The distinction is visual — use Alerts for anything that requires immediate member attention.
